Fallow Deer (Lanh): A Symbol of Elegance

The fallow deer, known for its graceful movements and unique coat patterns, is one of the most widespread deer species. These medium-sized deer are instantly recognizable by their spotted coats, broad antlers, and long tails. Native to parts of Europe and Asia, fallow deer have adapted to diverse environments, including areas with tundra-like climates.

During the rutting season, males compete for dominance by engaging in dramatic antler battles. Their vocalizations, called groans, echo through the forests and open plains. Fallow deer are also important to the ecosystems they inhabit, as their grazing helps manage plant growth. While their populations are stable in many regions, they require careful management to avoid overpopulation, which can lead to overgrazing and habitat degradation.
